“Summer-Proof” Makeup Routine: Waterproof Lash Favorites

Hi everyone!

If you are looking for the perfect waterproof lash routine to survive the hot summer days spent in the sun and by the water, you have come to the right place! These lash products can also be incorporated into your everyday routine if keeping your lashes curled throughout the day is a priority.

That being said, here is the waterproof lash routine that will keep your lashes looking AMAZING all summer long.

Lash Tools

First things first, step one is giving the lashes a lift with a lash curler. I use the Shu Umera lash curler and have had it for years!

*Tip: Be sure to replace the lash curler pads every now and then, especially if you have a well-loved lash curler!

Curling the Lashes

To get a natural looking curl, start at the root of the lash and work your way to the ends. This will help avoid getting the result of a single dent in the lashes and leave you with a softer looking curl.

Mascara

By far the most important part in this lash routine is the mascara itself. It is key to use a waterporoof mascara, as this is what will provide that all-day hold.

My go-to is the L’Oréal Telescopic Original Waterproof Mascara which has a thin wand with short bristles, great for acheiving the appearance of longer looking lashes.

Removal

When it comes time to remove the mascara, the waterproof formula will be very difficult to remove if the right products aren't used. Here are the top three products that I reach for to remove waterproof mascara with ease:

1. Vaseline

2. Oil-based eye makeup remover

3. Waterproof Micellar Water
