Hi guys! Hope you are all having an amazing week and that you are ready for a new blog all about thrifting.

I’ve recently spent some time shopping around and had some great finds at the Buffalo Exchange in Dallas, so today I’ll be sharing those pieces with you along with some tips that I have picked up to help you have a successful next thrifting trip too!

Let's get straight into some of the pieces.

My first find was a For Love and Lemons Bustier Top.

The lace and ribbon details of this top are what really stand out to me about this piece. It’s both classy and flirty with the potential to be styled in many different ways.

I recently styled it with a neutral beige skirt and heels for a dinner out and love the versatility of it being great for a day or nighttime look as well.

TIP #1: Be Patient

This one might seem simple, but it can be time consuming to sort through and find your hidden gems so if there is no luck in the first couple of racks definitely don't be discouraged.

Depending on the size of the store I would say an hour or two is a good amount of time to be able to go, take your time looking around, and try your favorite pieces on before checking out.

Next, I saw a clothing rack that had pieces with more of a western feel and decided to pick up this Western Ethics Denim Vest.

I have been really drawn to the 90’s denim trends lately and this top would be perfect to style for that. It also has stud accents on the front and back which gives the vest a unique touch.

My initial vision for styling this is with either a denim skirt, shorts, or jeans for an outdoor event like a concert or festival but I also think that it would work nicely for fall outfits since it is a thicker material and could be a nice layering piece.

Tip #2 Search Items to Compare Pricing

A quick google search will allow you to compare prices to similar items which could be helpful when making final cuts.

For example, before finding this denim vest, I was unfamiliar with the brand Western Ethics so I wasn’t sure how their tops were generally priced.

When I had tried the item on and loved it, I searched the brand name with a short description of the piece and found comparable pre-loved denim vests by the brand which allowed me to have a little more information before heading to checkout.

It is an extra step that only takes a couple seconds and can help when making those final decisions before taking your favorite pieces home!

Last but not least, this Nike Windbreaker got my attention at the very last second.

As someone whose day-to-day outfits are typically athleisure, I am a huge fan of a good windbreaker. They are lightweight, a perfect layering piece, and can bring an exciting element to a simple outfit.

The contrasting black and white colorway caught my eye on the rack and I especially like the letters being embroidered on the back since it adds a vintage feel.

I think this windbreaker is very wearable and I plan to style it in a couple different ways. Most recently, I paired it with an activewear romper and sneakers for a casual and very comfortable look.

Tip #3 Have an Idea of What You Are Looking For

My last tip is to go in with an idea of what you are looking for. It can help narrow down the racks you browse through and guide your way through the store.

When I went in this past time, I knew I was looking more specifically for tops. It helped me focus my time looking through those items instead of other sections which I noticed was helpful for me and might help you too.
